The original one year battery warranty expires after One [1] year. Getting extendedWarranty Premium Support does not include battery warranty.Customers can purchase the optionalThree [3] yearbattery warranty support[Here] which installs a new battery.
Dell offers anonsite battery replacement service for a fee, but not sure that Dell-Greece provides this service. For more information about battery replacement service, contact Dell Technical Support.
For the typical user, noticeable reduction in run time generally will be observed after 18 to 24 months. For a power user, reduction in run time generally may be experienced within 18 months. Dell recommends buying a new Dell laptop battery when the run time does not meet your needs. [Battery FAQ].
Laptops without a battery are designed to function as a desktop on ac adapter power.
Storing a dead battery in the laptop is not recommended. If battery becomes swollen and/or leaks, it will damage the system enclosure, internal components, people, local environment, etc.
Dell have recently decided not to provide Dell-authorized replacement batteries.
