It is a high hold wax with a matte finish and it provides great hold but still leaves room for pliability in the hair during the day. The texture is much different than claymation. Sponge Wax feels very soft [almost like a sponge] and it’s easy to emulsify in your hands.It feels very lightweight on the hair and it’s ideal for men with thicker hair who need more control. It does not hold as much as the Claymation and that’s why it’s perfect to use for more relaxed and bed hair looks [ which is my go-to hairstyle].The Sponge Wax is the perfect blend of hold and flexibility. It has a low shine, but a high-hold finish. The hold remains pliable throughout the day, which is why it's good for those looking for a strong hold that stays put. I like to use it to create nice separation in medium to short styles. For men with thicker hair who need solid control, this is your best bet. To use, apply on dime-sized amount on dry hair if you want that quintessential bed bead look, or you can apply on damp hair and slick back using a comb if a traditional look is more your thing.
