Honda HR-V 2023 ra mắt tại Úc với giá bán đắt hơn đối thủ nhưng bổ sung nhiều tiện nghi và trang bị an toàn.
Tương tự thị trường châu Âu, Honda HR-V 2023 vừa ra mắt tại thị trường Australia cũng được bán ra với hai phiên bản là Vi X và e: HEV L. Giá bán khởi điểm – bao gồm các phi phí lăn bánh – từ 25.203 USD [~ 581 triệu VNĐ] với bản Vi X và 30.900 USD [~ 713 triệu VNĐ] cho bản e: HEV L.
Cung cấp sức mạnh cho Honda HR-V Vi X là động cơ 4 xy-lanh hút khí tự nhiên, dung tích 1.5 lít, sản sinh công suất 119 mã lực tại 6.600 vòng/phút và mô-men xoắn 145 Nm tại 4.300 vòng/phút.
Tại Úc, HR-V được coi là một chiếc SUV cỡ nhỏ cạnh tranh với những đối thủ như Toyota CH-R và Mazda CX-30. Động cơ trên Honda HR-V 2023 gần ngang ngửa với C-HR, dùng động cơ tăng áp 1.2L có công suất 114 mã lực và 185 Nm, nhưng có công suất thấp hơn đáng kể so với CX-30 máy 2.0L với sức mạnh 153 mã lực và 200 Nm.
Mức giá khởi điểm của hai mẫu xe này cũng rẻ hơn Honda HR-V, với Mazda CX-30 tiêu chuẩn có giá từ 23.136 USD [~ 534 triệu VNĐ] và C-HR tiêu chuẩn bắt đầu từ 24.091 USD [~ 556 triệu VNĐ].
Một số tính năng quan trọng được trang bị tiêu chuẩn trên HR-V Vi X, bao gồm Cảnh báo va chạm phía trước, Hệ thống phanh giảm thiểu va chạm, Hệ thống hỗ trợ giữ làn đường, Cảnh báo lệch làn đường, Kiểm soát hành trình thích ứng, đèn pha LED tự động và Nhận dạng Biển báo Giao thông. Bản cao cấp hơn là Honda HR-V e: HEV L. Mẫu xe này kết hợp động cơ 4 xy-lanh dung tích 1.5 lít tiêu chuẩn với một động cơ điện để tạo ra công suất tổng hợp 129 mã lực và 253 Nm mô-men xoắn. So sánh với đối thủ Toyota CH-R GR Sport dùng động cơ hybrid 1.8 lít, mẫu xe này chỉ có tổng công suất tối đa 121 mã lực.
Hàng loạt tính năng tiêu chuẩn trên Honda HR-V e: HEV L có thể kể đến như Hệ thống giám sát điểm mù, Cảnh báo giao thông phía sau, đá cốp tự động, gương chiếu hậu chống chói, gạt mưa tự động, đèn LED tự động điều chỉnh góc chiếu khi xe vào cua, ghế trước có sưởi, vô-lăng sưởi và kính chống ồn.

“Competition for the car within the Toyota world is enthusiastic to say the least,” said Toyota Australia vice-president of sales, marketing and franchise operations, Sean Hanley.
