Record desktop session

NoMachine offers session recording, freely available in all its remote desktop products on all platforms, which lets you capture anything and everything that is in the window of the remote desktop session you initiate as well as any activity on the local desktop. This makes it an extremely powerful tool which can be used in a number of scenarios.

Have you ever asked for remote technical assistance for a problem you encountered on your PC or Mac, but struggled to describe the actual problem? Even worse, the previously fixed issue has cropped up again and you wish you could remember the steps to take to fix it? NoMachine lets you record the activity on the screen to capture not just the weird behaviour, but also the steps that the remote technician performs on your desktop when theyre connected via NoMachine. That way, the next time you dont remember what to do, you have the video for later use.

If you're an avid PC gamer and want to share your gameplay with the world, the easiest way to do this is to record yourself playing. NoMachine lets you do this! Whether you're playing on the local desktop or prefer to remotely control the game running on your high-end GPU computer using NoMachine from another room, you can use the in-built screen recorder to capture your play performance. The clips you make can be then uploaded to your favourite video-sharing site or you can just keep them on your own PC and share with friends.

Recording activity on the screen, whether its your local desktop or whats happening in a remote desktop session, offers a powerful way to create more widely accessible and shareable videos for all manner of purposes, including how-to guides and instructions. Making clips of how to use a specific program, for example, lets the audience learn by watching the host move through the steps.

Similarly, with other multi-media content, you can activate screen recording as a way to capture your favourite TV episode or a live-streamed presentation playing on the local or remote desktop for playback later without having to go online and watch them again.
