So my last review got deleted due to foul language. I’m usually cursing while playing this game but anyways, it’s a good game. The concept of the friends helping you is the best I’ve seen throughout the CC Saga series. I’m never stuck on levels for weeks on end like it’s counterparts. The Bubblegum event is great, very rewarding and I’d hope to see it more frequently. But of course this game has its negatives. I don’t really like the rewarding system at all. You can’t start a level with 2x fish, or any special candies. Only the three boosters they provide, which in itself is frustrating. You get increments of the rewards instead of just a full reward. Then on top of that, you’re playing for costumes. Time and energy is simply going into changing how the characters look, not with how much they help you. Sometimes they don’t even help you and put their powerups in the most ridiculous of places. And that leads me to my final topic, the fish. In all CC Saga games the fish are pretty much useless but this game takes the cake!!! The fish go in the legit opposite spot that would help you. Swipe a fish which a wrapped/striped candy? It will go in the spot where is least helpful. I can’t stand it. You’ll have one move left and the fish won’t help you will whatsoever. But all in all, I play this game a lot. It isn’t my favorite CC game but it is fun and less frustrating at times.

Only 1 Frustration

I absolutely love this game. I play a lot of different types of games, but this game is by far my favorite. I waited until I was far into the game to write a review, as we often feel differently about the game when it starts getting hard. I am on level 569 right now. I do wish some of the levels were easier, but I have only one frustration. When we earn rewards, I wish the hearts were refilled as well. It does not do much good when you earn a reward that is only good for 30 minutes or 2 hours if you only have 1 heart left or even worse, zero hearts! I really hope the developers will take note of this. Refilling hearts when earning rewards would be an awesome improvement!!

I am now on level 1197. All of the above is true, however I find it annoying to “win” prizes that are not prizes. Instead, the monitor moves up the scale so in reality, you earn nothing. I wish this Candy Crush game would take some lessons from the original game where there are lots of prizes and opportunities to earn unlimited hearts for a period of time - also, The team races on the original game are really fun. So - more prizes, please!!

The ads in this game are starting to get ridiculous! And if you choose not to watch them at the beginning of a level, it doesn’t seem to want you to beat it and will try everything in the world to keep you from it. Also, it’s giving out things like the lollipop hammer and stuff and then almost making sure you have to use it and don’t keep it and then they bombard you with ads and stupid stuff that don’t add up to anything and the ads start taking the absolute longest 30 seconds I believe I have ever lived thru. I hate it. The ads aren’t ever anything I can relate to and most of the ads are scams. I’d hate to see what happened if you downloaded some of these bingo or slot games and actually gave them your bank info or your debit card. That kind of stuff is dangerous and I’m seriously considering deleting the app. You’re basically playing for costumes. Most of the characters don’t even help you or they send help into places where you have no chance of using it. It’s becoming too much and it isn’t worth it. I have literally made one single move and wiped the entire level now that I’m up to almost 500 and it STILL put me at having the very last highest score and gave me 2 stars. Whatever.

Edit: I took away my two stars and gave it one. If I was able to find any other game that was challenging and that I liked enough, I’d stop playing this completely. The pay walls are getting ridiculous. It won’t let you save your boosters, it won’t allow you to keep gold. I’m so over it.
