my GF has a 5 month old dell inspiron 15 that goes to lock screen after 30 seconds or so, Power settings are for 20 and 30 mins respectively, We have reset to different values and also run a registry repair utility to no avail. Any ideas or others with this problem?
Do you mean the screen saver?
You might call it that. Once it comes on you must log in again with your password. On Windows 10. I am not sure if the password can be avoided. however it is the fact that it is going to screen saver or lock screen 19 minutes early that is really annoying. We live in a remote area and shipping it back to dell would cost more than the laptop
