It should be no surprise but the HP Spectre x360 14 is one of the very best laptops you can buy today, and considering you can get it with an OLED display, of course it would make this list. Naturally, its great beyond its display, too.

Starting with performance, the HP Spectre x360 comes with Intels 11th-generation Core processors, up to an Intel Core i7-1165G7. In fact, thats the only processor you can get it with if you want the OLED display. Thats a quad-core processor capable of boosting up to 4.7GHz, which is plenty powerful for day-to-day tasks like browsing the web. The OLED version of the laptop also includes 16GB of RAM, so youre going to be doing pretty well in terms of multitasking. Storage options go up to a 2TB SSD, or a 1TB SSD accelerated by 32GB of Intel Optane memory. THats a strong combination overall.

The 13.5-inch display is, of course, phenomenal. The HP Spectre x360 14 is the first in the Spectre family to include a 3:2 aspect ratio for the display, and that extra vertical space is fantastic for productivity. You get to see more lines of text, more rows in Excel, or more UI elements in some complex apps. Its just easier to do more this way. Plus, the OLED version comes with 3K2K resolution [3000 x 2000], and that means its incredibly sharp on top of looking fantastic with its color and deep blacks. A potential downside of this laptop is the camera, however. To keep the bezels as small as possible, HP used a tiny 720p webcam which doesnt capture a lot of light and thus, doesnt look the greatest. It does support Windows Hello facial recognition, though, which is always great to have.

It comes in three color options Natural Silver, Nightfall Black, and Poseidon Blue and the latter two of those use striking dual-tone designs that really stand out from most other laptops. That, in addition to the unusual cut-off corners near the hinge, makes for a laptop that truly looks like no other. Its also fairly thin and light, measuring just over 17mm and weighing 2.92lbs.

The port selection is solid here, though its missing some ports you might consider useful. Aside from that, you get a USB Type-A port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader, which does cover a few bases out of the box. Few Windows laptops hold the same reputation as the HP Spectre x360, but the Dell XPS family is right up there, too. Dell makes some great laptops, and the XPS lineup is to clamshell laptops what the Spectre x360 family is to convertibles, and the latest XPS 13 is fantastic in many ways, including the fact that it has an OLED display.

Performance-wise, the Dell XPS 13 matches, and potentially even surpasses the HP Spectre x360. It comes with Intels 11th-generation Core processors, but in this case, you can go all the way up to an Intel Core i7-1195G7. This is the most recent addition to Intels ultramobile lineup, and its the first 15W processor to support boost speeds up to 5GHz, which makes it one of the fastest you can find on a Windows laptop.

In addition to that, you can get it with up to 32GB of RAM, which is more than youll probably ever need. You can also get up to 2TB of storage, but youll be limited to 16GB of RAM in that case; if you get 32GB of RAM, you can get up to 1TB of storage. Either way, youll have a fantastic laptop on your hands, its just a matter of choosing whats most important to you.

The display on the Dell XPS 13 is also fantastic. If you choose the OLED option [which is what youre here for], you get a 3,5K [3456 x 2160] panel, which comes in the 16:10 aspect ratio. While thats not as tall as 3:2, its still taller than a typical 16:9 display, and its incredibly sharp at that resolution. On top of that, it supports touch input even though its a clamshell laptop.

Similar to the HP Spectre x360, the webcam is a letdown with the XPS 13, since its another tiny 720p camera, and in this case, you dont even get facial recognition for Windows Hello. For that, you get a fingerprint reader on the power button, which is still convenient, though not quite as much.

That small camera makes room for a very compact design, however, and the Dell XPS 13 is one of the most portable laptops in that regard. The best thing about this design, however, is the way it looks. You can get it in two colors, and theyre both very unique, at least on the inside. The first uses a darker platinum silver color for the outer shell, but the interior uses a black woven carbon fiber pattern, which looks different from just about any other laptop. Best lightweight laptop with OLED display: Samsung Galaxy Book Pro

Many of us might not think of Samsung first when it comes to the best laptops out there, but with the Galaxy Book Pro, the company has created something truly stunning. It features a combination of high-end specs and an incredibly portable design thats just impressive.

Performance-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro comes with the latest Intel processors, up to an Intel Core i7-1165G7, which is still a very powerful ultramobile CPU with Intel Iris Xe graphics. You can also get it with up to 16GB of RAM [for the 15-inch model] and 512GB of SSD storage. Thats a fairly premium combination of specs thats going to get you great overall performance, especially if you get the 16GB of RAM.

One of the things that makes the Galaxy Book Pro great is that the AMOLED display isnt an upgrade option or limited to a specific configuration its the standard across the board. Youre always going to get an AMOLED display, and in this case, its a Full HD panel. Most premium laptops only give you OLED options in very high resolutions, which drives up the price. If you want an AMOLED display without paying an exorbitant amount of money, the Galaxy Book Pro lets you do that. However, being a Full HD panel might be disappointing to some and you cant upgrade beyond that.

Even if you take the 15.6-inch version, its just 11.68mm thin and weighs 2.31lbs. Its truly impressive how thin and light this laptop is, and if you want to carry it around all day, theres no better option than this in terms of portability.

The port selection is also not as bad as the thinness may lead you to believe. You get one Thunderbolt 4 port, one regular USB Type-C port, USB Type-A, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. Theres still no HDMI output, which is a bummer, but at least you get USB Type-A to support some older peripherals if you need them. Lets start by taking a look at performance, as the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is the most distinct from the rest of this list. It does come with Intels 11th-generation processors, but instead of 15W processors, theyre 45W models. The OLED version specifically comes with an Intel Core i9-11900H, which is a very powerful 8-core, 16-thread CPU that can boost up to 4.8GHz. That already gives you all the performance you could need for gaming and productivity, but you also get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with 16GB of memory and 105W of power, which means you can run the latest games without much of an issue.

On top of that, you get 32GB of DDR4 RAM [which you can upgrade later on] and a 1TB SSD, plus an empty M.2 slot if you want to expand your storage later. If you want a different take on a gaming laptop, the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED is another fantastic choice, though it has strengths and weaknesses in different areas compared to the Razer Blade 15 Advanced.

The first advantages have to do with performance because the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED actually gives you some configuration options. You can get it with an Intel Core i7-11800H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, or go up to an Intel Core i9-11980HK and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. Either way, youre getting a very powerful laptop, and the higher-end tier has an even faster CPU than the Razer Blade 15, though the GPU is about the same. Its worth noting that the GeForce RTX 3080 GPU can come with 8GB of memory instead of 16GB, which is a downside of this laptop. You can also get up to 1.5TB of SSD storage and 32GB of RAM, which is more than youll probably ever need [though you can upgrade it later].

Having a lower configuration option available is a big deal, though, because it makes the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED much more affordable if you just want a more standard gaming laptop with an OLED display. You can currently find the base model for under $1,500, less than half of the Razer Blade 15s price.

The display on the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED is fantastic, and its standard across the different models. Its a 4K OLED display made by Samsung, and it comes with DisplayHDR 400 certification, 100% coverage of DCI-P3, and rated color accuracy of Delta E < 1, making this a fantastic option for content creators. Its also PANTONE Validated and factory calibrated, so youre going to get a stunning visual experience on this display, maybe more so than any other laptop on this list.

One area where the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED falls flat is the webcam. For one thing, its just 720p, but the worst thing about it is that its below the display. Its actually on the keyboard deck, right under the display hinge, and that means the camera is going to be pointing upwards at an unflattering angle. If you plan on streaming or taking video calls often, youll really want an external webcam. Of course, theres also no facial recognition support, but you do have a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello.

Design-wise, the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED looks modern enough, but its not nearly as portable as the Razer Blade 15 OLED. Its about 21mm thick, and the weight starts at 5.07lbs, so portability wont be on the same level as Razers model. In exchange for that, you get a healthy supply of ports, including on Thunderbolt port, three USB Type-A ports, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, a headphone jack, and a UHS-II SD card reader. Thats a lot, and the inclusion of Ethernet might be a big deal, especially if youre gaming online and you want the lowest latency possible.

This is a powerful laptop with an absolutely stunning OLED display, a lot of ports, and plenty of power for your more demanding tasks. It makes some sacrifices compared to the Blade 15 Advanced, but depending on your needs and budget, this might be the better option.

Best workstation with an OLED display: Lenovo ThinkPad T15g

If youre more of a business user who needs tons of power, but you still want a beautiful OLED display, the Lenovo ThinkPad T15g is a powerful mobile workstation that will handle just about anything you can throw at it.

The ThinkPad T15g Gen 2 comes in a few configurations, but if you want the OLED display, you only get one option. This model includes an Intel Xeon W-11855M processor, a CPU specifically meant for workstations, with 8 cores and 16 threads, capable of boosting all the way up to 4.9GHz, making this a very fast laptop overall. This model also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q, so you can handle some intensive graphic workloads as well. The ThinkPad T15g also comes with 32GB of ECC memory, and a 1TB SSD out of the box, but it has four SODIMM slots for up to 128GB of RAM, and three M.2 slots for storage. You can go all-out with this laptop after the fact.

The display is a 15.6-inch panel, and of course, its using OLED. This is a 4K panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, which some might find disappointing for a business laptop, but it does support HDR and touch input, which is nice to see. It also covers 100% of DCI-P3, so it should be a solid choice for color-sensitive work. Its very thick between 24mm and 31mm and the weight starts at a whopping 6.32lbs. This is truly meant to be used in an office, and you can take it to another office easily, but youre not supposed to use it on a train or in a coffee shop or anything like that. The laptop also has typical ThinkPad design elements, like red accents and the pointing stick on the keyboard, so its going to feel familiar for long-time business users.

That large size makes way for tons of ports and connectivity options, though. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-C port with DisplayPort and power delivery, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, 2.5Gb Ethernet, an SD card reader, a Smart Card reader, a nano-SIM slot, and a headphone jack. And yes, that nano-SIM slot does mean you can add 4G connectivity, meaning you can stay connected to the internet even if you dont have a trustworthy Wi-Fi connection nearby.

All in all, the Lenovo ThinkPad T15g obviously isnt for everyone, but its an incredibly powerful laptop. As far as business laptops go, its one of the best options youll find with an OLED display.

Best for creators: ASUS ROG Zephyrus Pro Duo 15 OLED

Finally, we have one of the most unique laptops you can buy today. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is not only powerful, but it packs one of the most interesting features youll find on any laptop a second screen on the keyboard deck.

The main display is a 15.6-inch OLED panel, and it comes in at 4K resolution, so its already both vibrant and sharp. Its also a PANTONE Validated display, it covers 100% of DCI-P3, reaches brightness up to 550 nits with DisplayHDR 500 certification, and it supports touch. Its a fantastic display for content consumption and creation, but its made even more special by whats just below it.

The keyboard deck houses a second screen thats just as wide as the main display [and has the same horizontal resolution]. The second screen lifts up when you open the laptop, so its at the right angle when youre looking at the laptop normally. You can use the second screen for intuitive controls in some content creation apps like Premiere Pro or Photoshop, but you can also put other apps on it for whatever use cases you may have. For example, you could be watching a movie on the main screen and using the second screen to message someone. Its a versatile setup you dont see anywhere else.

Of course, having a big screen on the keyboard deck has some implications for the design. The keyboard is pushed off to the left, with a touchpad on the right side of the laptop for controlling the mouse.
