3. Cách viết GENERAL STATEMENT

3.1. Mục tiêu của General Statement:

• Đưa các thông tin background về chủ đề đó.

3.2. Viết General Statement như thế nào?

4. Cách viết THESIS STATEMENT

4.1. Thesis Statement là gì?

• Là câu trả lời trực tiếp câu hỏi của đề bài.
• Trong dạng OPINION ESSAY, thesis statement là câu mà sẽ bộc lộ quan điểm của mình (là agree hay là disagree)

4.2. Viết Thesis Statement như thế nào?

• Cần xác định dạng câu hỏi mà đề bài đưa ra.
• Ở mỗi dạng đề sẽ có cách viết câu Thesis Statement khác nhau, từng dạng sẽ như sau:
  • OPINION ESSAY: Câu Thesis Statement sẽ bộc lộ quan điểm của bản thân, tức là đồng ý hoặc không đồng ý
  • DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS & GIVE YOUR OPINION sẽ bộc lộ quan điểm của bản thân, là theo quan điểm nào
  • 2 QUESTIONS: sẽ nhắc chung chung về causes & effects hoặc causes & solutions, tùy đề mà IELTS TUTOR đã hướng dẫn

III. Cách viết mở bài từng dạng bài IELTS Writing Task 2

1. Agree or disagree essay

1.1. Yêu cầu đề bài là các dạng câu hỏi sau

• What is your opinion on this?

1.2. Cách thể hiện quan điểm ở câu 2 intro

• I strongly disagree with this idea.
• I partly agree with this idea.
• I strongly agree with this idea.

Essay Question: Too much emphasis is placed on going university for academic study. People should be encouraged to do vocational training, because there is a lack of qualified tradespeople such as electricians or plumbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

IV. Lưu ý viết phần mở bài IELTS Writing task 2

• Đừng tốn quá nhiều thời gian cho phần mở đầu, vì thân bài mới là phần chính và cũng là phần lấy điểm nhiều nhất trong bài viết
• Đừng viết phần mở bài quá dài, vì như vậy sẽ tốn thời gian, lan man, chỉ nên viết 2 câu
• Đừng copy lại hoàn toàn những từ vựng hay cấu trức được dùng trong đề bài mà nên paraphrase lại bằng ngôn ngữ và cách của mình.

Bước 1: Bố cục đề bài IELTS WRITING

    • Phần 2: Yêu cầu của đề là “Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.”

Bước 2: Paraphrase phần 1 và trả lời phần 2 (yêu cầu của đề)

• Cần paraphrase “Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others, however, believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future such as those related to science and technology.”
  • Câu 1:

VII. Phân biệt giữa GOOD INTRODUCTION & BAD INTRODUCTION

Essay Question: Because computers can translate all languages very quickly and accurately, learning a foreign language is a waste of time. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Task 2 IELTS Writing như thế nào?

Writing Task 2 là phần thi cuối cùng trong đề thi IELTS Writing Academic và General Training. Đề bài thường yêu cầu thí sinh viết một bài luận (essay) nhằm trình bày một quan điểm hoặc chứng minh một vấn đề cho trước thông qua các luận điểm, luận cứ và ví dụ đi kèm.

Part 2 IELTS Writing bao nhiêu từ?

1. Những điều bạn cần biết Task 2. Vì đây là phần thi thứ hai của bài thi IELTS Writing Học thuật (IELTS Academic), phần thi này sẽ chiếm ⅔ tổng số điểm của phần thi Writing. Phần bài luận cần có độ dài tối thiểu là 250 từ, và nên được hoàn thành trong 40 phút.

Topic sentence gồm những gì?

Topic sentence = chủ đề + nội dung chính. Chủ đề Topic sentence sẽ quyết định hướng đi cho những câu văn tiếp theo. Còn nội dung chính tại phần này sẽ là thứ cụ thể chúng ta cần phát triển và làm rõ.
