This event showcases the newest trail in downtown Dallas, taking runners along miles of wide paths and river and city views alike. Show
Beginning near the west side of the Continental Bridge, the half marathon leads runners under the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and south along the Trinity River before making a loop and crossing the river in a brief road section of the course. The course then continues north along the Trinity Skyline Trail until turning around a little past mile 3, then retracing the route of the first three miles and continuing north along the west side of the Skyline Trail. The second half of the course follows the Skyline Trail north, providing more river views. While most of the half marathon is run on the Skyline Trail, the primary road portion of the course is here during miles 9 and 10 before turning around and returning to the trail. From here, runners retrace their paths along the west side of the river toward the finish line. Race Weather & ClimateLocated in north central Texas, Dallas typically sees cool to mild and sometimes quite warm weather in April, when temperatures here range between the mid-50s and the mid-70s, occasionally reaching the low 80s.
