If you have used Windows remote desktop, you mightve noticed that after a remote desktop session (RDP) ends and log back into the physical machine some of the text fonts will look very rough. Your screen might flash for a brief second and adjust to a new native resolution etc. After a few splash, the screen would look normal again, except sometimes all the text fonts in Chrome still remainchoppy. Trying restarting Chrome doesnt solve the problem. If this is what happened to you, here is a quick fix to ensure it doesnt happen again or fix Chrome to have it properly applying anti-aliasing to smooth out the font.

First, when connecting to a terminal, check the Font smoothing setting under the Experience tab. By default, if you let RDP to Detect connection quality automatically sometimes you would not have this option checked when you remote desktop via wireless.

Second, after you have terminated the RDP and log back on your desktop again and font are still not readjusted in Chrome. You need to type this in Chromes address bar to give Chrome a full restart properly.

about:restart

or

chrome://restart

By doing so, your Chrome will shut all process and restart with all your tabs reopened again. And this will also help to fix any font issue that was caused post remote desktop session termination.
