So sánh card 750 vs 8540
And also: what power supply should I grab to supplement these two bad boys? Should I grab a 400W, or a 450W to be safe? Show And don't worry about where I'm getting it, I know exactly where to get some Thanks! 2 xWiredxPosted 19 November 2015 - 01:18 PM Pretty sure the 750 Ti has more shaders, texture units, higher clocks, and the stock configuration had more VRAM (though I think there may be some 2GB VRAM 750s floating around somewhere...). 3 Catamount
Posted 19 November 2015 - 01:19 PM The clocks are the same on both cards. What the TI version has is 40 TMUs vs 32, and 640 stream processors vs 512. Memory configurations vary on both, as both have 1GB and 2GB versions, though the TI has a 4GB version. The have the same number of ROPs. I've never been clear on exactly how much relative contribution comes from the stream processors, TMUs and ROPs, but if you average the difference in the three, the 750TI ought to be about 17% faster, and that pretty consistently seems to be the difference, give or take, though sometimes it's a smaller gap (eg Crysis 3). http://www.anandtech...-review-maxwell Edited by Catamount, 19 November 2015 - 01:20 PM. 4 Doughbag
Posted 19 November 2015 - 01:25 PM I’m using both cards to play this game. The GTX 750 has 1GB and 512 CUDA Cores The GTX 750Ti has 2GB and 640 CUDA Cores The clock rate depends on the card manufacture, but the Ti usually has a higher clock rate. With the GTX 750 the game is playable at 1080p with low settings and you’ll get (depending on map and Mechs) around 50-120fps, with an i7 & 16 GB RAM. MWO will look and play a bit smoother with the Ti, due to the extra RAM The GTX 750 will run with almost any power supply, it’s rated at 55W. The GTX 750Ti is rated at 60W, but in reality (due the higher clock rate) will draw more power. The “office” PC’s has an i7, 16GB RAM, SSD & HDD with a 280W PSU – it works very well with the GTX 750 for hours playing MWO, but can’t handle the Ti. 5 Goose
Posted 19 November 2015 - 01:45 PM I remain dubious of the 750 Twins, for loads as mere as madVR, , but here we have someone whom could put numbers to them. So, Doughbag: What settings are you using, and are you dropping the textures down to Medium for the 1GB card? Any idea as to how bad the stalls are? Posted 19 November 2015 - 02:10 PM With the GTX 750 in this PC: http://www.fujitsu.c...primo-p520-e85/ i7, 16GB, SSD & HDD Resolution 1920x1080 DX11 Settings: LOW Damage Glow: off Motion blure: off AA: off Game runs smooth at drops to ~50fps with highest about ~120fps The buildings textures are rendered only when looking at them and when your getting close. The 750Ti can handle the draw distance way better and you can turn on damage glow with the same framerate. 7 ATF13Rookie
Posted 19 November 2015 - 02:23 PM My current setup uses the 2GB GTX 750. With a i7-4790S, 12GB DDR3 and the GTX 750 2GB I run everything on HIGH except particles which are set to MEDIUM at 1920x1080 on DX11. I get consistently low 50's on the FPS and only dips to the mid to low 40's during heavy action on the new Forest Colony or RIver City maps. I am replacing this card very soon with a GTX 970 from EVGA. 8 Doughbag

Posted 19 November 2015 - 02:56 PM Hmm, so the GTX 750 Ti is moreover better, so how would it run on medium settings then? 10 Catamount
Posted 19 November 2015 - 03:10 PM Both cards will probably run it on medium or better just fine. If people are getting drops into the 50s on a stock i7, that sounds like CPU, not GPU, especially if that GPU can pump out 120fps (or in between numbers) for a lot of the rest of the time. MWO is not enormously variable in GPU load (as far as I've seen; feel free to correct) just CPU load. That said, if you can spring for the TI, there's just no reason not to, not unless the normal 750 is running on some kind of really good deal, which they do sometimes. 11 Goose
Posted 19 November 2015 - 04:06 PM … The both of them are below the GTX 660/ R7 265 tier that somehow got named as a minimum. Presumably, a GTX 950 would be the same tier as a R7 370, and there are reasons to get a Block Two Maxwell over the block ones … I can remember de-tuning the game when I traded down to a GTX 580 (from a 680,) at the request of Support, back in the DX9 days. Ooops: Mashing up two related stories. The DX9 thing actally showed no changes, but I was a i7-920 with DDR3-1333 at the time; When the GTX 680 died and was in the mail, putting the 580 in with a i7-990X showed card-related issues, but we where DX11 by then …If anyone know that a GTX 960 can play the game full-song, they haven't said so … Edited by Goose, 20 November 2015 - 01:57 PM. 12 Team Chevy86

I ran the Ti as well and the game looks that bit better. 18 Kuritaclan
