A: You can connect your ULTIMATE EARS BOOM to a Macintosh or PC that has Bluetooth capabilities.

Macintosh

1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane.
3. Click “+” to add a new Bluetooth device.
4. Turn the speaker on.
5. Hold down the Bluetooth button (above the power button) until you hear a tone.NOTE: The Bluetooth connection button will blink rapidly, meaning the speaker is ready for pairing.
6. Select ULTIMATE EARS BOOM from the list of available devices and click Continue.

IMPORTANT: The ULTIMATE EARS BOOM can also be a speakerphone, and the Macintosh operating system sets it as a headset device by default.

To set ULTIMATE EARS BOOM as a stereo speaker on your Mac:

1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
2. Select Sound.
3. On the Output tab, you’ll see both “ULTIMATE EARS BOOM” and “ULTIMATE EARS BOOM Stereo” select “ULTIMATE EARS BOOM Stereo”.
4. Close System Preferences.

PC

1. Turn the speaker on.
2. Hold down the Bluetooth button (above the power button) until you hear a tone.NOTE: The Bluetooth connection button will blink rapidly, meaning the speaker is ready for pairing.
3. Open your Control Panel.
4. Select Hardware and Sound.
5. Select Devices and Printers.
6. Select Bluetooth Devices.
7. Click Add a device.
8. Select ULTIMATE EARS BOOM from the list of devices, and then click next.

NOTE: If the Bluetooth Device Control window opens, expand the Headset type menu and select “My hands-free device ULTIMATE EARS BOOM does not have a display” and then click Apply.

Once your speaker is paired and connected, you’ll have to select the ULTIMATE EARS BOOM as the default playback device in the Windows Sound settings. Here’s how:

1. Open your Control Panel.
2. Select Hardware and Sound.
3. Select Manage audio devices (under Sound).
4. Select “Speakers Bluetooth Hands-free Audio” and click Set Default.
5. Click OK.

UE BOOM is an application developed by Logitech Europe S.A. for Ultimate Ears speakers and with everything you need to make the most of your UE speaker. The application allows you to associate music that you select on your smartphone to be played by all connected speakers.

UE BOOM is an application that allows you to access all your favorite features for all BOOM and MEGABOOM loudspeakers. It also works with BOOM, BOOM 2, BOOM 3, MEGABOOM and MEGABOOM 3. In total, the app allows you to connect up to 150 speakers of the brand to organize your parties anywhere and anytime . But, it is also used to:

• Use the app to activate their Ultimate Ears portable speaker. It will play your favorite songs, activate your Spotify playlists, Pandora stations and more;
• Use and set up fully customizable EQs to adjust midrange, treble and bass to fit your playlist;
• Customize your speaker name, EQ preferences and preset playlists (BOOM 3 and MEGABOOM 3 only).

Recently updated, the application presents a lighter overall design. Most of the features have been maintained except for a few (including the alarm functions and the connection via Amazon Alexa).
