When you run a server system in your organization, you might have business needs not met using default server settings. For example, you might need the lowest possible energy consumption, or the lowest possible latency, or the maximum possible throughput on your server. This guide provides a set of guidelines that you can use to tune the server settings in Windows Server 2022 and obtain incremental performance or energy efficiency gains, especially when the nature of the workload varies little over time.

It is important that your tuning changes consider the hardware, the workload, the power budgets, and the performance goals of your server. This guide describes each setting and its potential effect to help you make an informed decision about its relevance to your system, workload, performance, and energy usage goals.

Registry settings and tuning parameters changed significantly between versions of Windows Server. Be sure to use the latest tuning guidelines to avoid unexpected results.

  Microsoft đã công bố Windows Server 2022 với 4 phiên bản chính: phiên bản Essential, Standard, Datacenter và Datacenter Azure. Microsoft cũng cho phép các tổ chức có các tùy chọn cài đặt lõi máy chủ và máy tính để bàn cho tất cả các phiên bản Windows Server 2022. Cài đặt phiên bản máy chủ dành cho các vai trò cụ thể, cho máy chủ web hoặc DNS. Phiên bản dành cho máy tính để bàn, dành cho các phiên máy tính từ xa được lưu trữ mà không có dịch vụ máy chủ.

Windows Server 2022 bản Standard
Phiên bản Tiêu chuẩn của Windows Server 2022 là phiên bản cơ sở. Microsoft thiết kế điều này để giúp các tổ chức hoặc cá nhân có máy móc vật lý. Nó cũng thích hợp cho các môi trường máy chủ ảo hóa tối thiểu .  
Phiên bản tiêu chuẩn cung cấp mô hình cấp phép dựa trên cốt lõi. Điều đó có nghĩa là một giấy phép của phiên bản tiêu chuẩn chỉ có thể hoạt động với hai máy ảo và một máy chủ Hyper-V . 

  Windows Server 2022 phiên bản Datacenter
Phiên bản Datacenter lý tưởng cho các tổ chức có môi trường ảo hóa cao, như trung tâm dữ liệu và đám mây. Phiên bản này cung cấp các tính năng tương tự như Phiên bản Standardcùng với 1 số thay đổi nhỏ.
Sự khác biệt lớn nhất giữa phiên bản Standard và Data Center liên quan đến việc cấp phép cho máy ảo. Trung tâm dữ liệu cho phép không giới hạn số lượng máy ảo Hyper-V hoặc vùng chứa .  
Phiên bản Data Center hỗ trợ tối đa 16 lõi với giấy phép bổ sung cho mỗi lõi bổ sung. Và mọi khách hàng truy cập vào phiên bản Data Center cũng cần phải có CAL.

Windows Server 2022 phiên bản Datacenter Azure
Phiên bản Azure của Windows Server 2022 là một sản phẩm độc đáo của Microsoft, chạy dưới dạng một máy ảo Azure hoặc trên một cụm Azure Stack HCI . Bạn không thể cài đặt phiên bản này cho phần cứng trống. Bạn cũng không thể cài đặt và chạy nó như một máy ảo Hyper-V.
Phiên bản Azure có tính năng Hot Patch, cho phép bạn cài đặt các bản cập nhật mà không cần khởi động lại máy chủ. Khối Thông báo Máy chủ qua QUIC cung cấp quyền truy cập vào các tệp được chia sẻ mà không cần VPN qua mạng. 

  Windows Server 2022 phiên bản Essential
Phiên bản Essential hữu ích cho các doanh nghiệp nhỏ và công ty khởi nghiệp với tối đa 25 người dùng và 50 thiết bị. Phiên bản này không yêu cầu CAL để truy cập. Tuy nhiên, nó chỉ giới hạn ở 10 lõi hỗ trợ một socket duy nhất và một máy ảo duy nhất.
