Minolta af 28-105 xi review năm 2024

the 28-85mm F3.5-4.5 was a kit lens, and the AF 28-105mm F3.5-4.5 Xi was an upgrade you could get instead of a kit lens with the XI range. Both are full format screw driven analogue lenses. The AF 28-105mm F3.5-4.5 Xi has a better zoom range so i would chose it even though it is older (af may be slower though). If you can test both on your camera it may help you choose but i couldn't image there is a large image quality difference in the 2 of them

I have the latter version of the AF 28-105mm it was 24-105mm and was the perfect lens for the Dynax 7 back in the day :) 113 months ago(permalink)

I also have the 24-105, doesn't get used much since I have the 24-70CZ, but the 24-05 has a smaller filter ring which I can use my Colkin P filters on...

I upgraded to the Minolta AF 28-85mm (beer can style) from the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my Sony A33. Sold it when I got the Sony A65 and upgraded yet again to the Sony DT 16-105mm.

Gotta say that I loved the 28-85! It was a huge improvement over the kit lens- sharp, great warm colours, decent focal length, a semi-macro, and a solid piece of metal. A wee bit soft at 85mm, but nothing to complain about. And the price was right…I think I paid $80 for it. I miss it. I do prefer the wider angle and the longer reach of the 16-105, but then, it did cost a fair chunk more.

I gave my A33 to my daughter (her first SLT) and immediately got on Ebay and bought another one to go with it. I have quite a few photos on my photo stream that I took with the 28-85- all the flood photos and flood volunteer photos were taken with it.

dyxum.com has some great info and user reviews of both the 28-85 and the 28-105. The 28-85 comes out a bit ahead on the score card. 112 months ago(permalink)

I own the 28-105xi that I bought to compete with the kit lens sony 16-55 dt.

I like the motorzoom stylish even if it reduces battery life...

Compared to the 16-55, that was an improvement but not that much:

what you win in telezoom, you lose @ wider angles ... and there is not much difference between the 2 lens in the 28-55 range actually ...

Frankly It's a bargain for the price, but less than 2 weeks after I didn't use the 28-105xi anymore after having found a 35-70 f4 mid beercan for 35 bucks on ebay.

One can say that the 28-105xi is a litlle "heavy" actually ... As walk around lens I'm always using the mid beercan f4 now... Even if the 35-70mm range is a bit awkward (especially on APS-C)

Is Minolta AF the same as Sony A?

Alpha, Sony A, or Minolta A or AF (MAF) all refer to the same physical mount... although Sony's use of "Alpha" or "A" in naming some E/FE mount bodies is a bit confusing (they have a different mount, but are able to use A lenses "with native A mount performance" via one of the LA-EA adapters).

What are Minolta XI lenses?

xi– Minolta With the introduction of Minolta Dynax 7xi camera, Minolta has released new xi lenses. Xi lenses use electronic motors for both zooming and focusing and both are controlled by the camera.
