Sửa lỗi drawing file is write protected trong autocad năm 2024

The rest is easy. I like working with write protected files. That'll force me to save the drawing with a revision; i.e.: USMC-D17a (the small "a" being the revision).

Show

In your file manager (oops, old name), I mean Explorer, you can always delete, rename, change attributes, add comments (I like adding comments).

“Unable to save drawing (The path to the Drawing file will be shown) as it is being accessed by another session. Drawing saved to (The original path and then a file name with an extension of .tmp”

Then an error message stating that the “Drawing file is Write protected”.

Cause:

This issue can be caused by numerous issues.

  • NAS Drive (A Hard drive which is attached directly to the Network).
  • Novell Server.
  • Mirrored Server.
  • Limited Windows rights.
  • DFS Server environment.
  • High Network traffic.
  • Virus Protection.
  • Network Driver issues.
  • Files that sync to the Server.
  • Cloud Based storage.
  • Synchronization.

Solution:

Possible solutions

  • Try a second save command.
  • Perform a saveas.
  • Save to a different location.
  • Set ISAVEPERCENT to 0 forcing AutoCAD to save the entire file each time.
  • Install Updates.
  • Try in the new version.
  • Uninstall A360.
  • Reboot the Server.
  • Remove temp files. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-delete-temporary-files-in-Windows.html.
  • Disable offline files in Windows.
  • Disable indexing.
  • Check file and Folder permissions.
  • Disable Antivirus.
  • Check to make sure Network drive are not timing out.
  • Check mapping to make sure this has not changed.
  • Check and make sure the files are no located on a drive that is no longer available or cannot be written to DVD, Mobile Drive, Etc.
  • Test speed to Server.
  • Novell Server check for disk space restrictions.
  • Test under another login to make sure the User profile is not corrupted.
  • Check VPN Connections (If you can do this in the office but cannot over VPN then this is a virtual issue).
  • Make sure all Cloud storage is available.

AutoCAD uses a special file locking for its drawing files. So if you are using a non-standard file server (Novell, Linux...), or when there are timing problems on your LAN (overloaded network, overloaded server, HW error of your LAN card or a faulty active LAN element - hub, router), you may get false "write-protection" errors when working with drawing files stored on a network server.

    Drawing is write protected error

    Hello,

One of my users is receiving an error message, "Drawing file is write protected", when trying to save a file that is stored on a network device. No one else has this file open and permissions for the user are set to Full. I have already made sure the entire folder and subfolders are NOT read only. I have also set the AutoCAD LT program to "Run as Administrator" as per one of your support documents which seemed to fix the issue at first, but has since returned. The user itself is also an administrator for their Windows profile. So far the workaround is to Save As the file under a different name and delete the old file and rename the newly created one to the old name. Obviously, this is not the greatest thing to have to do every single time and am looking for a more permanent solution. I've read through many different forums to no avail. Any help would be fantastic!

    Thank you.

Thank you for the response, jayhar. Unfortunately, I have already checked the SYSTEM security permissions and there are no Deny boxes checked on any of the .dwg files. The user is on Windows 7 Pro. What information can I provide you to help assist?

AutoCADLT is responding to OS/Server restrictions and denial of rename/delete actions that a save command performs when saving a file.

There is nothing in the program designed to override the OS.

SAVE functions works like this: tmp file is created bak file is deleted dwg file is renamed bak tmp file is renamed dwg

Stop any of these processes and the program reports a file-lock is in place. Since the user can SAVEAS, it is probably not the first step that is the problem.

    jayhar,

As stated in my opening, SAVE AS works just fine, but when needing to Save the file again after closing and reopening it, it still prompts with a Write Protected error. I have checked the permissions and nothing is being denied.

    Thanks

Does this happen with only dwg files? I had something like this happen years ago and it was a server issue. The server was flagging the file type and locking it down. Because it was at the server level it didn't show as "read only" or anything like that and would let me save as another file.

I'm not sure what our IT person actually did but he was able to change the server settings.

I realize that this is not particularly helpful but maybe you can talk to your IT person if you are not that person.

Has there been any resolution to this? We are starting to run into this issue now as well. It is happening in Windows 7 Civil 3D 2018 as well as with Carlson software. Drawings are stored in a Windows 2008 R2 server.

Save As is a band aid, we would like a solution.

Your operating system and/or server assigns write-protect/read-only tags to files: you and your IT team need to be working together to resolve this at the server/PC system/your log-in level.

Thank you for the input, the files are not actually write protected on the server. Other users can operate them normally. It is not looking like a server permission issue. We are working very hard with the IT team and drafting and engineering teams to get to the bottom of this. I am hearing that it could be an AutoCAD or even Windows profile issue. Has anyone had experience with these items being the cause?
